Validated Method for Evaluating the Four?Terminal Perovskite/Si Tandem Cell Performance and its Efficiency Potential

Recently perovskite/crystalline Si (cSi) tandem cells draw considerable attention because their high efficiency can reduce the levelized cost of electricity and increase power density photovoltaics (PVs) to accelerate energy transition. While theoretical limits for are well known, practical less clear. Herein, a new method is presented calculate four-terminal (4T) based on performance single-junction perovskite cSi cells, using detailed-balance fraction. This calculation validated with experiments 4T perovskite/cSi that provide maximum 28.0% literature data available similar configurations. A about 36% estimated would use present record PV cells. be regarded as limit devices.
